Robert Preston is the star of the original cast on Broadway and the 1961 film. He died in 1987. He also was in such movies as: "The Last Starfighter" and "Victor/Victoria". The world will miss you Bob.
Description!
Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" is rather easy to describe. It's about a con artist named Prof. Harold Hill who comes to po-dunk town River City, Iowa. While he is there, he "hoodwinks" the town into buying band instruments, instruction books, and uniforms, while Hill gaurentees to teach the boys how to play. A good con huh? You think it works out? Or does the lovely librairian figure it out first? To find out, WATCH THE MOVIE! 4 1/2 stars! A great toe-tapping movie!
